The Aims of Inner Wheel are

Inner Wheel is one of the largest women’s service organisation is the world.

It has over 100, 000 members world-wide and over 15,000 members in Great Britain and Ireland.

District 26 consist of 16 Clubs in Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire & Buckinghamshire, all full of enthusiastic, energetic and friendly women who meet regularly for friendship and service - and in so doing having a lots of fun!

Working to promote peace in our communities and around the world members of District 26 celebrated International Peace Day on September 21st   

In Milton Keynes a group visited the Peace Pagoda

In  Ware and Luton members visited schools and planted Peace Roses with plaques and shared in assemblies about what peace means, and what each on of us can do to promote Peace.

& in Walkern there was a big tea Party!

At Berkhamsted Golf Club

Brenda Lowe, of Stevenage Club, was instrumental in getting International Peace Day in the Inner Wheel Calendar.

Over 50 people went to Brenda’s house on Peace Day, visited an exhibition commemorating aspects of WW1, tied white ribbons on the Peace pole with messages of Peace and enjoyed afternoon tea.

Mary a member of Luton North gave several talks during the afternoon about women who had won the Nobel Peace prize.
